Description

Sommerville: Red Calcite. A mask. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case VV.

Vermeule: Red calcite. Cameo. (Unmounted) A theatrical mask facing, horns in the hair suggest Pan is intended. The design of the back-ground is in the form of a Macedonian type shield. Four holes for fastening at the four corners of the back. 19th century.
