| Description |
Ring foot; spherical body; thickened strap handles from shoulder to false spout; spout flaring in profile above, with slightly thickened rim. Buff clay ground. Glazed decoration: 3 concentric circles on underside of foot; broad band around exterior of base and edge of lower wall and above it two wheel-run lines; around mid-point of body and above and below 4 borad bands with 3 wheel-run lines between the lower 2; On shoulder are two sets of chevrons; a broad band loops around false and true spouts; edges of handles glazed; a spiral line within a wheel-run band on top of false spout. Mended, missign a few small fragments. From box labelled: Objects which have lost their numbers. |
