| Description | Five dogs' teeth for a kupe'e niho 'Ilio (ankle rattle). Each tooth has a circular perforation at the root end from which it could be strung. Kupe'e niho 'Ilio were leg ornaments that were worn by men during dance ceremonies. The leg ornaments would consist of layered dog teeth strung on plant fiber. |
