Description | Black slip jug; Incomplete; neck and rim entirely missing; handle missing except join at shoulder; slip worn. Ring base; depressed ovoid body with greatest diameter at low shoulder; wide neck opening. Probably pinched rim and vertical handle from rim to shoulder (not preserved). Incised horizontal lines encircling shoulder and lowermost body just above base; shallow vertical flutes on body, carelessly executed. |
