Description

Uneven in shape; jagged edges, reverse very worn.

Obverse: Diadem bust of Valens, facing r. D N VALEN SPF [AUG ?]

Reverse: Standing emperor, holding labarum, advancing r., gazing down left to kneeling captive he grasps by the hair in his right hand. ---RO---ANORUM [probably GLORIA ROMANORUM]. AE 3.
