Description

This object is a lithic identified as a “axe blade” and is 10 ⅜ inches long. It is gray, flat, symmetrical, and has a thin broad working edge that narrows to a thicker, blunted bulb. It is likely, but not confirmed, pecked. It has a rough, uneven texture and is numbered on the back, and the numbers have been mostly obscured by the lacquer. It is covered in surface dirt. There is a thin layer of a reddish-brown substance on one of the long edges; it is unknown whether this is intentional pigment or soil.
