Description

Two men in traditional Korean attire can be seen seated together. The man on the left, han-ryang (한량), which means “unoccupied fellow,” appears to be waiting as the goong-jang-ee or the bow-maker (궁장이) is working on his bow. A title for the piece and an artist seal appear at the top right. There are 22 other watercolor paintings in the collection illustrating Korean games and rendered by the same artist, Gisan (기산) of Choryang, Korea.
