Description

Temple hanging scroll. Illuminated painting of Seishi Bosatsu. Her headress contains a water vase in it. Seishi is seated in an attitude and posture of a bodhisattva (Jp: Bosatsu) hands joined in prayer and posed against a white nimbus and halos. Above appears a sacred Sanskrit character, saku, the seed syllable for Seishi Bosatsu.
