Description | Bull: right foreleg. Hollow, wheelmade. Snake twining up outer side of leg. "On front, down either side, two black bands enclosing panel of alternating triangles outlined in black, those to the left filled with black crosshatching., to the right with solid red; on snake, red and black speckles; black on hoof, behind the snake, long splashes of black and red from aboce, and down inner front of leg a red band)." :Decorated with patterns precisely like those of Bichrome III pottery and therefore must be at least as early as the 8th century." |
