Description | Hairy shield. Kelevit-bok. Wooden shield, rectangular with pointed ends. Flat planes of the sides meet at an angle to form a longitudinal median ridge on the front, which is covered with rows of large flat tufts of brown human hair. Center of the median ridge has a blade attached with both ends twisted. The front of the shield is painted with a face with large fangs done in red and black. The reverse has a vertical handle and is elaborately painted all over with black and red with human figures in the negative space. |
