Description | Square pendant with eight embossed figures. "Silver Hindu talisman from Jeypore Raj India. Eight companions of the gods." Probably the Saptra Matrikas, seven mothers, with a guardian or the seven virgin sisters with their brother, Bhaironji. Amulets like these are known by many names including madaliya and patri. |
