| Description | The object is identified as a Zuni Figure. The Kachina is carved painted wood with a green yarn ruff collar (emulating evergreen boughs). The Kachina has a paper/cardboard tablita head piece that is painted and has glitter attached. The Kachina wears a painted fabric kilt and has white and purple yarn tied around both writsts and bellow the knees. The figure holds a gourd rattle in one hand and green yarn (evergreen boughs) in the other. Paint colors: white, black, gray, red, yellow, orange, (purple on the cardboard). |
