Description | No lugs, not clear if wheel made; red clay fired hard, and brown on one side, with small bits white and otherwise; broken at neck, otherwise intact. Large part of the mouth of this vase found among objects from Tom 9; Thin lip spread out flat, ending in thin neat bevelled edge with double curve in its profile. Clay of 9 fragments darker and duller than that of 1. Fabric halfway between the local orange red and the gritty red cooking ware, mouth piece very like latter, body closer to former. |
