Description

Set of mahjong tiles and accompanying gaming pieces. The tiles are a complete set of 146 tiles. There are four sets of the three suits: cash, strings, and myriads, each numbered 1-9. There are also four sets of four of the directions: North, East, West, South. One each of the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Four each of the green dragon, red dragon, and white dragon. Four different flowers numbered 1-4 and two blanks. In addition to the tiles there is a small pair of dice with a green cup, and a number of multi-colored sticks (45 red, 36 yellow, 32 green, 8 blue). The tiles are stored in a green box with a lid that has four trays. The lid of the box has information about the game and maker: "THE GREAT CHINESE GAME, 麻雀, MAH-JONGG, POPULAR EDITION, REG. U.S. PATENT OFFICE COPYRIGHTED 1920-1923, THE GENUINE ALWAYS BEAR THE PRINTED TITLE MAH-JONGG, THE GENUINE ALWAYS CONTAINS THE ADOPTED BABCOCK RULES. FOR THE MAH-JONGG SALES CO. OF AMERICA, PARKER BROTHERS INC. SALEM, MASS., NEW YORK, LONDON"
