Description | Glazed frit; worshipper standing, inscribed. no original impression; upm impression 2006-14-91a/b Matthews: seal, Hilprecht coll. Smooth grey material, said on the file card to be glazed frit. The surface is in such perfect condition that the material cannot be assessed from fractured edges. 28 x diam. 13. Inscription in seven vertical lines, part of an eighth line in the figurative panel. Man in devotional posture on groundline, animal head. Topline. Inscription: "May it be called,/may it be called,/may his name/be called,/may his...shine,/at the command of his god,..." The first two lines are currupt for lu etel pi-su "may his utterance be lordly." |
