Description | Wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted blue with a yellow semicircle around the mouth, separated by a black and white line. The mouth is a blue and red, protruding tube. A collar around the neck is painted green. The top and back of the head are painted brown and ears of corn are painted on the back of the head. Feathers and painted flower blossoms are attached to the top of the head. The body is painted black, yellow and blue with symbols on the forearms. A kilt is painted around the waist. This figure is a variation of Rasp (Rugan) Katsina. |
