Description | Long lanceolate metal blade, with a 1.3 cm. round hole near base. On both faces deep longitudinal grooves, one down the center and two others to one side of center. Lines of tiny inclised chevrons along the edges of the blade at the base and about 5.5 cm. along one side of the center groove. Wood shaft, wrapped with .5 cm. wide flat metal strips. Long (75 cm. ) tapering metal ferrule. Blade and ferrule now secured to shaft with silver colored screws. |
