Description | Birch bark tray; white outer surface of birch bark forms outer surface of tray; rim of tray formed by binding several strips of wood with narrow wood splints; decorative band sewn to basic tray form; geometric and scroll patterns are incised and punctuated onto surface of this decorative band; open areas of the decorative elements have been colored with red, black and blue paint. Inscription in interior of tray: "Deep Tray". |
