Description

Base-sherd from a semiglobular cup. Fine, light reddish brown (2.5 YR 6-7/4) clay with a paler surface, with decoration in red to black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior painted. Running spirals between bands. A very common type. Compare (among others) Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 8, no. 8 (Gournia).
