Description | Burgundy colored wall hanging. Mica mirrors along border and throughout hanging. At center there are flowers within a central floral pattern. In each corner there is a peacock. Near the top there are two elephants and at the sides there are two beaked female figures. There are also dog and flower designs throughout. The border is made of three appliqued green bands and four salmon colored squares at the corners. Along the border there are two bands of floral motifs. The embroidery techniques used on this chakla are done in 'heer' ("brilliantly colored silk floss"). |
