Description | Fighting cap. Lavong Nian. Round cap of finely woven rattan peel. Band around bottom of different weave, with tuft of crinkly fibers at one side. Open loop at top from which hangs a small, trimmed black and white Rhinoceros Hornbill tail feather. Two other black and white hornbill feathers, one trimmed into small diamonds at top, attached lower down. Twisted fiber chin strap. |
