Description | Shield. Kelevit. Wooden shield, rectangular with pointed ends. Flat planes of the sides meet at an angle to form a longitudinal median ridge on the front, Painted on both sides with red pigment, four broad bands of plant fiber lashed to the shield with dark fiber, thinner band at each end. Vertical handle on the reverse with black pigment painted around it along with black pigment along vertical sides. |
