| Description | Stone tool. Knife or point. Long narrow tool coming to a rounded point at both ends. Wider at center. Flaked entire length of tool and on both sides. One end has traces of red pigment. Pearson-examples 12, 14, date to Late Paleolithic period ca. 11,000 BC, represent the late paleolithic in Hokkaido 10 and 13 in. long-largest and 114 early late Yayoi, Nara called stone spear. |
