Unglazed pottery toy rattle; child astride an animal. Decadence." (PMA/GMB 1955) Terracotta: Boy on pig. Pig standing frontal; nude boy astride, one hand forward between ears of pig, the other back on pig's hindquarters. Rectangular plinth hollow beneath. Vent hole in pig's rear end. A peppet within. Inscribed "Toy rattle Pompeii" (GRE 1979)
