Description

Short billet of wood hollowed out leaving a diaphragm at each end. Over the opening in the upper face a thin board has been fastened, so as to leave one end of the opening uncovered. To this sounding board, near the opening, five wires have been attached. They are carried over the other end of the board, and are intended to be plugged into five holes bored in a ridge cut in the hollowed billet under the open end of the sounding-box.
