Description

al-Salni in the blessed month Ramadhan of the year H 1000 [1592 CE]. Contains verses from a Surah of the Qu'ran. From shrine of Imam-Zadeh Qasim. 16th century. Dated by inscription to H1000/ 1592 CE . Martinovitch notes: Carved doors #3. Arabic inscriptions written in Naskhi script. Inscription around the both sides of the door. Qur'an Surah 48, versus 1-12. Inscription in the central medallions- an invocation and the blessing formula of the 12 Shi'i imams. Shah Abbas- Abbas I the Great 1587-1629.
