Description

Plain weave with wide tapestry border with narrow weft fringe. Appliqued tapestry and pile weave medallions (heads with fringed tapestry headdress simulating feather headdress) set on sidewise in two rows.

Fragment of poncho consists of both a plain weave section and some tapestry elements. There are tapestry medallions (crescent shaped with short fringe) repeated across the poncho. There is also a tapestry segment that has a lobster design. Short fringe along edge. Color(s): Brownish (most likely undyed) plain weave. Tapestry elements are green, red, brown and yellow.
