Description | Shield. Kelevit. Rectangular wooden shield, pointed at both ends. Flat planes of the sides meet at an angle to form a longitudinal median ridge on the front. In the middle of the back a vertical hardwood handle. Full length human figures painted on both front and back. Figures on one side more realistic than those on the other. Hornbills painted on front at one end and demon at opposite end. |
