Description | "Miniature tabard." Plain weave cotton. Yarns are S-spun and unplied.Small rectangle of fabric folded in half. One side has four rows of long feathers (wing coverts), with a bottom row of small body feathers, all from the Scarlet Macaw. The other side has a multicolor feather mosaic with a central scallop in green with a red border on blue ground. The green feathers are parrot, the red and blue are scarlet macaw. Selvedges on the sides, hemmed on one side and incomplete on the other. Undecorated strip across the shoulder about 1 inch wide. Vertical neck slit has been cut extending down into the feathers. |
