| Description | Groups of strands of raphia [natural color] on which are overlaid strands of raphia twisted to form double curved bands [one purple, 4 pink faded to natural, 1 purple, etc. across the width of the mat. The strands are held in position by lengthwise stitching at 4.5 cm. intervals with purple raphia. Border of wide raphia fringe sewed around mat. |
