Description | Red Polished III spouted juglet. Fine fairly soft bright orange clay with light gray interior. Uneven matt dark red-brown slip. Round base, globular body, wide inverted conical neck, flattened rim; tubular spout from mid-body; high vertical handle square in section, from rim to upper body; small horizontal lug on rim above spout. Relief and incised decoration: disk incised with an X on either side of mid-body and mid-neck, above and below spout; incised inverted V with three punctured dots at either end, on either side of upper body; groups of three transverse lines on either side of rim, on lug, and at upper handle attachment; group of three lines around spout; vertical zigzag either side of handle.
