Description

Stamped amphora handle. Upper part of handle, with stamp, and a bit of the wall of the neck. The stamp is irregular in outline: broad at one end near to the neck, narrower at the other end, the two straight sides converging from the broad to the narrow end. Device: a large amphora in releif. Indistinct traces of lettering on both sides of it: on one side possibly reading the letters Theta Epsilon Upsilon. Light reddish-brown clay with some fine mica.
