Description | Flint case with accessories. Betik. Bamboo cylinder with removable top tethered to it by a twisted cord, both with decorative coverings of woven vine. Attached to this by twisted cord are a flat piece of stone ( flint), an oval gourd with stopper, and a small piece of Copper Alloy. Incorrectly identified in Home-Life of Borneo Head-Hunters as a "small tobacco box, covered with plaited fern-fibre . . . [ to which ] are attached a whet stone and a gourd to hold a supply of pith butts for the blow-pipe darts." (Home-Life of Borneo Head-Hunters) |
