Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Modern gold (reset) ring mount) Cupid seated chained to a base; carved in very high relief. Eros is weeping. Signed - Santarellia. cf. 2576. Subject a popular one on ancient and Neo-Classic gems.
