Description | Short rods of bronze, circular in section, ending in hemispherical buttons; in between are two disc-like moldings, concave along the rim. The thickest portion of the red is between the discs. It is apparently cast in one piece. Use unknown: may be a hinge bolt or part of a horse harness (bit?) or even part of a handle. Vari-colored green patina., (a) has rough dark spots and places where it is worn through to clean metal. |
