Description | White cotton embroidered with chain and zigzag borders all around. Six rows of birds with two in center on a branch. Double headed eagle with sun above. Background of dots. All brocading in soft red, lavender, yellow, green, and blue cotton. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 30 epi, two ply, white cotton. Weft: 20 ppi, two ply, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, three selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
