Description | Man's ear ornament, Udang tebauun. One of pair. Worn sticking forward through a hole in top of ear. Made from horn bill horn (hornbill casque) In shape of an animal tooth, with decoratively carved openwork base. The privilege of wearing this kind of ornament must be "won by valour on a head-hunting raid." (Home-Life of Borneo Head-Hunters) |
