Description | Nearly complete and mended. Handmade. Plain flat base, squat globular body with wide short concave neck. Plain rim and slightly arching handle from rim to shoulder. Fire blackened on bottom and sides. Clay: gritty grayish red, coarse. Vertically shaved (or burnished?). Has some resemblance to Monochrome Ware but is coarser. |
