Description

Wall hanging, Kalaga. Black felt with colored braid, embroidery and cotton and silk applique. Buddhist monk with fan in one hand followed by an attendant. Taguntaing, or prayer pole with a tagun, or wind-sock shaped object within an arch. Hamsa, goose, sitting on top of pole. Near by are a monk's almsbowl. Cedii with chinthes on the corners of the third plinth. Parrots, peacocks and foliage border.
