Description | Sleeveless jacket. Abing kumut. Sleeveless jacket made of bark cloth, lined with white cotton. Closely spaced horizontal stitching, possibly holding together multiple layers of bark. Front panels edged with red trade cloth with pattern of blossoms and leaf sprigs. Arm holes and bottom of jacket also edged in red trade cloth. At bottom, front and back, a broad band (demarcated by a thin line of stitched red, white, black and yellow chevrons) of linked spirals in red thread. In front, a large blue bead for fastening, opposite a tasseled loop of small multicolored beads. |
