Description

Wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted green with inverted "V" lines in red, black and yellow above the protruding, tube mouth. The forehead is banded with lines of the same colors. Feathers and yarn are attached to the top of the head and to the ears. The body is painted red with a kilt painted white. This figure is the Kau-a (or Qoia) Katsina, borrowed from the Navajo.
