Description | mold made. Complete, rather crooked. Similar to 54-28-237, 54-28-238. Base concave underneath with crude potter's stamp EYTYXHTOS. Nozzle has round wick hole with exidence of burning. Pinched lug handle at back. Disc deeply concave and decorated with horse galloping left with paim branch extending from head. Two fill holes, one above, one below the figure. Herring bone design defines disc area. Running pattern of vine and grapes around rim. Medium thin fabric, fine clay, fired buff throughout. No slip or glaze. |
