Description | Gilt brass statuette of Upāsaka Dharmatāla, the attendant of the sixteen arhats. He is also associated with Avalokitesvara. The statue is made of very thin sheet brass which is gilded. There is a wooden base underneath with a Buddhist symbol called a dorje. He is seated on chair in a Western attitude with his tiger by side. |
