Description

Miniature conical cup; straight profile. Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay. Wiped with water. Intact. Comments: LMI. Compare (among many others) Sackett and Popham 1970: fig.13, nos.1-3 (Palaikastro); Lembesi, Olivier, and Godart 1974: fig.42C, center (Archanes). The conical cup is the most common Minoan pottery shape; it is especially popular in LMI. The shape is discussed in detail by Wiener (1984).
