Description | Handmade, solid, face molded (mold 6A), local Kourion fabric. "Horse (variant of type 47) and rider (round cap, upward brim, cheek pieces); the rider thrusts to right with sword (right forearm restored); on right cheek, minute raised circle (unexplained, but certainly from the mold)." Rider looks downward and to the right; large head. Missing: horse's muzzle, ears, both fore-legs (partially) and left hind-leg; rider's left foot, right arm (forearm restored), left arm (left hand remains, pressed to mount's neck). |
