Description

Arabic manuscript on paper. 376 leaves, 12 lines to a page, written in Naskhi script. Rosettes between sentences in gold and colors, headings to Suras in white against gold and decorative background, numerous illuminated medallions and devices in gold and colors in margins. Margins ruled in gold and colors. Double page opening illuminated in gold and colors. Black morocco binding; spine defective. (Margins frayed with loss of one lower margin; note of later ownership on verso of final leaf).
