Description

Man's sash. Red cotton brocaded for two thirds of its length in crossbands of birds, plants and geometric figures in magenta, purple, green, yellow and white silk. Knotted heading to long fringe.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 74 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 34 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is singled faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
