Description

Romano: "Life sized head of a priest wearing a modius surrounded by a floral relief crown. The lower part of the modius is divided into vertical registers, and at the bottom is a double edge, as if representing a lining. Face is full with broad flat planes for cheeks. Low forehead, raised line of eyebrows, deep-set eyes with thick arching lids meeting at corners; raised circle for iris and small incised circle for pupil. Thin nose with deep indentations for nostrils. Small horizontal mouth with thick upper lip and thin lower lip. Small jutting chin, thick neck. Earlobe preserved on right side."
