Description | mold made. Complete, thin crack in nozzle. Similar to MS 2064a, 54-28-237, 54-28-239 even though no potter's stamp. Base concave. Nozzle has almost round wick hole with evidence of burning. Pinched lug handle at back. Disc deeply concave and decorated with a horse prancing left. Two fill holes, one above, one below figure. Herring bone design distinguishes disc area. Running pattern of vine and grapes around rim. Medium fabric, fired yellowish to pinkish buff. Possibly smoothed but no slip or glaze. |
